Jennifer Zamparelli: ‘When I had a kid I became a terrible friend’

Jennifer Zamperelli has admitted that when she had a child, she became a terrible friend.

The 2fm presenter has one daughter named Florence with her husband Lau Zamparelli.

“When I had the kid I became a terrible friend. That was the first thing that suffered because you’re so busy trying to be a mom. And trying to look after your relationship, because that takes a bit of a blow when a new person comes into the house.

“We can’t be all these things, we just have to give ourselves a break and not be so hard on ourselves. We can’t do everything at the same time.”

Bedroom Equality: Jennifer is leading Durex’s #OrgasmsForAll movement | LEON FARRELL

Jennifer is leading a movement by Durex called Orgasms For All. A survey conducted by Durex revealed that only one in six (15%) Irish women say they experience orgasm every time they have sex.

The brunette beauty believes that the reason Irish women orgasm less frequently than men, is they are not honest enough with their partners about what they like and dislike.

“I think the reason they got me involved is that it’s all about getting the conversation going, and being able to being frankly about it. Because Irish people aren’t great at being very frank.

“It’s not that men are doing a bad job, they’re grand. It’s women not speaking up enough. It always takes a bottle of wine to get the conversation going.

“We’re so busy, we’ve so much going on. We try to be brilliant at everything. We want to be great mothers, we want to be great in the office, we want to be a great friend. It’s important that we look after ourselves, our sexual health contributes to mental health and physical health – it’s all intertwined.”

Jennifer Zamparelli is a brand ambassador for Durex’s #OrgasmsForAll movement, which aims to end bedroom inequality.
