EXCLUSIVE! Suzanne Jackson fans set for heartache as her RTÉ show has been axed

Goss.ie can exclusively reveal that much-loved fashion series, RTÉ’s The Style Counsellors, has been axed.

The makeover show, hosted by Irish influencer turned businesswoman Suzanne Jackson, has been cancelled after four seasons.

The popular series saw the SoSu Cosmetics founder help people regain their confidence with a new wardrobe.

Suzanne hosted the first two seasons of the show alongside Eileen Walsh, before going solo at the helm for seasons three and four.

A TV insider told Goss.ie: “It’s a big disappointment because so many people loved the show but the decision has been made to not renew it.”

“It will not be coming back and that will be noticed at the upcoming autumn launch.”

The Style Counsellors marked Suzanne’s first presenting gig, and was a hit with viewers at home.

Suzanne is not the only victim of RTÉ’s axings, as the Maura Higgins fronted show Glow Up Ireland has also been taken off air.

Off The Rails, which was hosted by Brendan Courtney and Sonya Lennon, is another popular fashion show that was axed by the broadcaster in recent years – despite its popularity.

Our source explained: “RTÉ like having a lifestyle show like this, but Off The Rails was taken off air and replaced and Glow Up Ireland hosted by Maura Higgins was cancelled as well.”

“So producers aren’t sure what format will stand the test of time.”

Despite The Style Counsellors coming to an end, the TV insider tells us that this “definitely isn’t the end” of Suzanne’s TV career.

The source told us: “It’s definitely not the end for Suzanne. She’s been in talks with producers for other formats and she definitely would like to continue her presenting career.”

“There’s interest there and she has lots of ideas too, this definitely isn’t the end of her TV career.”

When asked to comment, an RTÉ spokesperson told us: “We’re looking forward to announcing programme details in relation to our new season in the coming weeks.”

Suzanne appeared on RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars earlier this year, which Goss.ie exclusively revealed has been renewed for another season.
