Broadcaster Miriam O’Callaghan has admitted she thought about changing the format of her chat show Saturday Night with Miriam.
Speaking to Goss.ie, the radio host revealed she would love to front a show similar to Piers Morgan Life Stories.
“This year I pondered that, I pondered and talked about it to people – maybe would we do that [an one-on-one interview show] instead of a chat show,” she said.

“On a chat show, they’re fun but you do have to fill it and it’s the summertime and it’s harder to find people,
“So it is something I would consider in the future but it would have to be a very interesting person to carry a whole show,” she added.
“My first job was as a researcher on This is Your Life which isn’t totally dissimilar – it’s like you take one person and it’s all their life so I would be going back full circle,” she told Goss.ie.
“So it’s something I might look at in the future.”

Meanwhile, the PrimeTime host explained she’s re-jigged her first show of Saturday Night with Miriam following the devastating tragedy this week in Berkeley where six Irish students lost their lives.
“We’ve decided to completely re-jig our show,” she revealed.
“We’re actually opening with an item about Berkeley because some those people could be coming home at the weekend for their final resting place and I just think [we’re after the news] it would be completely inappropriate to suddenly go into a full all singing, all dancing completely insensitive approach.”
Saturday Night with Miriam kicks-off this Saturday June 20th at 9:30PM on RTE One.
