The organisation have taken over the Apollo House in Dublin’s city centre and it is being used to shelter the homeless during these cold months – but he thanks the world of charities like Saint Vincent De Paul, Focus Ireland and others for their hard work

“This is a civil act, this is an intervention. They shouldn’t have to exist – but they all exist. They’re all operating and they’re doing incredible work all over this country but they’re operating on a real strain.

“They’re operating on donations most of the time. I guess this was born out of a concern, born out of a pain in the heart.

“We’re looking around and we’re seeing the number [of homeless people] go up, we’re seeing the amount of charities rising, we’re seeing the number of people on the street rising – what’s going on?

“We’ve got houses without people, we’ve got people without houses, and if that keeps growing the way it’s growing, when does that end?”
