Brendan Courtney has revealed he would “definitely” think about adopting a child in the future – and reckon he’d make a great dad.

The Off The Rails presenter told Goss.ie that he believes contributing to society is the best thing a person can do and he would love to help a child have a better life.

“I think fundamentally the meaning of life is contribution. Contribution is the most fabulous thing you can do with your life,” he said.

“So that could be helping others or helping a child have a better life. I think that would be a wonderful thing to do.”

“I would never have a child, but I would definitely think about adopting.”

The TV star has already had some experience with parenthood and already has his hands full with a puppy.

“I think I’d be an amazing dad. My puppy is so well behaved and so happy, I’m strict, but I’m fun,” he told Goss.ie.

It comes after Brendan recently revealed he’s very “nervous” about the result of the upcoming marriage equality referendum.
