Claudine Keane headed down to Stradbally yesterday, and let her hair down after an “emotional week”.

The 36-year-old’s husband Robbie Keane played his final game for Ireland on Wednesday at the Aviva, which Claudine admitted she knew would lead to “high emotions”.

Speaking at the festival before jetting back to LA, the blonde beauty admitted that herself and Robbie would never say never to making a move back to Ireland.

“I think we have to go where his career leads us,” she told the Herald.

“He has never hidden the fact that he loves football and wants to be involved. Whether that be in Ireland or wherever it may be. That will be the next journey for us.”

The model, who is mum to seven-year-old Robert and 11-month-old Hudson, told how emotional this week has been for the Keane family, and admitted that they try to come back to Ireland every three months.

“I have only been back for a week. I was just here for the game and then a few more days – I stayed on for the weekend. It’s a short trip but it’s been really amazing. What an emotional week it’s been.

“As time goes on, I’ve become adjusted to the fact that this is the way it is working out. For any reason, if I need to come back I come back.

“I try not to leave it longer for three months any time. I am definitely a home bird but I always try and get back and see my friends,” she said.

The Dublin native also opened up about Robbie’s retirement, admitting that she had to hold back tears when her husband read her his final statement.

“I knew it was going to be high emotions. He was reading me his statement and I could barely keep myself together listening to it. It’s a bit surreal in a way.

“It’s hard when you’ve been doing it since you were a teenager and all this time he has had that responsibility of being the captain and playing for his country – to let that go is very difficult.

“It’s an amazing thing, it’s a good thing. It’s been a lovely weekend. It was the right time and it was great he had the opportunity to be able to thank the fans,” she added.
