Brian O'Driscoll gushes about wife Amy Huberman: 'She's gorgeous, smart and funny – everything I want in a wife'

Brian O’Driscoll has opened up about his love for wife Amy Huberman.

The former Ireland rugby captain details in his new autobiography that he fell for the actress after dating for just eight weeks.

Speaking about the romance now Brian said she was the perfect woman.

“When you know you know. Why is there a phrase that says that? It’s because you just know,” he said.

“I’d never met anyone like her before, I just thought this was the business. This is the full package.

“She’s grorgoeus, she’s smart, she’s funny, she’s driven and she’s independent. She was everything I would have wanted in a wife,” he added.

Speaking to Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show Brian revealed Amy will give birth to their second child at the end of November.

Meanwhile Brian, who is already father to their little girl Sadie, said he is glad he brought his daughter out on the pitch at his last Ireland game.

“It was great to have Sadie there. She was just taking it all in, it’s great to have those memories and be able to look back on it,” he said.

“It was great to be able to share it with her.”

While Brian has been cherishing the memories of his final games as an Ireland rugby player, he admitted he misses his team mates now more than the actual sport.

“It did become a little bit painful so when the final final game came there was a relief

“I miss the big days but I don’t miss some of the less glamours features,” he admitted.

“I don’t miss the defeats and how it affects your mood. It seems to be the constant across all sports that you miss the dressing room, you miss the craic.

“We take the job really seriously but when you’re off you’re really off, just get stuck in to one another,” he admitted.
