Andrew Scott, Brian O'Driscoll and Miley Cyrus: Stars celebrate the YES vote

Stars from all over the world have been congratulating the Irish people on passing the Marriage Equality vote today.

While Irish stars based in other parts of the world have taken to Twitter to show their support, a host of well-known names turned out in Dublin to celebrate the news.

Popular comedian Des Bishop was spotted outside Dublin castle, where people had gathered to celebrate the happy news.

The TV star was joined by Sherlock actor Andrew Scott and Noble star Deirdre O’Kane.

And Ireland’s top celebrity couple Amy Huberman and Brian O’Driscoll even came out to join the celebrations.

The actress and rugby star were pictured holding baby Billy and daughter Sadie as they chatted to pals outside Dublin Castle.

Other stars at the event included RTE’s Miriam O’Callaghan who spoke to entertainer Panti at the venue, as well as Gerry Adams.

While not every star could jet into Dublin, celebs across the world celebrated online.

Virgin megastar Richard Branson took to Twitter to congratulate Ireland on the vote.

“Great to see the people of Ireland voting to live in a country where everybody is treated equally. #MarRef #YesEquality.”

And popstar Miley Cyrus even celebrated the vote. “F**k yeah Ireland,” Miley wrote.
