Ronan Keating has admitted he thinks his first wife, Yvonne Connolly, didn’t understand him.
The former Boyzone star reckons he got married too young and didn’t really know himself during their relationship.
‘No [Yvonne] didn’t [get me],” he said.

“Maybe in some ways she did, but not in the important ways,” he told New! Magazine.
”With Storm, I’ve found somebody who understands me and loves me for who I am. That’s a great feeling.’
Faced with a lot of challenges at a young age, the 39-year-old explained he made some bad decisions in his younger days.
”Being in a boyband at 16, I did what I was told. I tried to be the person people wanted me to be.”

”That, and losing my mother very young, and my brothers and sisters emigrating to America, was quite a big deal and it takes a lot of time for that to sink in.
”So I made decisions that weren’t necessarily right and I got married very young.”
The Dublin native revealed he’s having the time of his life now with wife Storm and finally knows what love feels like.
‘It’s like the curtains have been pulled back and the light’s come in,” he said.

”It’s that wonderful feeling of understanding and all of it starting to make sense.
”You start to feel how you’re supposed to feel when you’re in love. It was terrible, I didn’t realise until I was out [of that situation] that I wasn’t what I felt I was.
”Now I feel like this is the time of my life. I feel like I’m in my prime and I’ve met somebody who makes me feel secure.”
