Gardai have confirmed that they are investigating after Conor McGregor posted a photo online holding a gun.
Sharing the photo on his Instagram last week, the Dublin fighter can be seen sitting in his BMW i8 car around 2am.
“Put the fight game in the bag and step away from the vechicle.”
A garda spokesperson told Independent.ie that they are now looking into the matter.
“We are investigating the circumstances under which the photo was taken. Gardai from Crumlin are investigating.”
It is suggested the gun is a replica machine pistol with a silencer attached.
