King Charles announces new titles for the Royal Family

King Charles III has announced new titles for some of the Royal Family.

The monarch ascended to the throne following the death of his beloved mother Queen Elizabeth II.

The British monarch passed away peacefully on September 8, aged 96 at her Scottish estate of Balmoral.

On Wednesday, the palace announced Charles was giving new titles to Prince William, Kate Middleton and Queen Consort Camilla Parker-Bowles.

The Princess of Wales has been appointed as Colonel of the Irish Guard.

Her husband William was named as Colonel of the Welsh Guards.

Queen Consort Camilla was named Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.

It was also announced that the annual Trooping of the Colours will take place on June 17, 2023.

The ceremony has marked the official birthday of the British monarch for over 260 years.

It is performed annually in London by regiments of the British army.

Over 1400 parading soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians come together in this great display to celebrate the British monarch.
