Anton Savage is a dead certain to take over from Ray D’Arcy on Today FM, according to bookmakers.
Paddy Power have now stopped taking bets on who is next to take on the morning slot, after D’Arcy moved back to RTE.
They stopped allowing bets on Anton following a string of three figure bets on him to take the helm.

Having started the weekend as a 4/7 favourite, Savage’s was soon priced at 1/6 before the bookie halted bets following a flood of support.
The bookmaker revealed that largest bet they received was €300 at 2/5 from an online customer that will return €420 if the Savage Sunday host is confirmed as D’Arcy’s replacement.
Today FM have yet to make an official announcement over who’s to replace Ray but bookies are already quaking in their boots over the decision.
Féilim Mac An Iomaire, a spokesperson for Paddy Power, said: “We’ve seen plenty of support for Anton over the weekend and should he be confirmed Today FM’s morning slot won’t be the only thing that will be savaged.”
