Eoghan McDermott has revealed he auditioned to be in cheese-tastic pop group Six and admitted it was a “low point” in his life.
The 2FMÂ star tried out for Popstars, the RTE reality series that brought together the ill-fated pop group in 2001.
He said: “I auditioned for Popstars. It didn’t go very well, it went terrible. But that’s a low point – wanting to be in Six.”
He added: “If that’s your highest aspiration at any point in your life I think you should give yourself a slap in the head.”

Despite trying out for the reality series, Eoghan also revealed he hates reality TV stars.
He added: “Reality TV celebrities – I hate them. That kind of aspiring fame or fame wannabe. I hate that.”
And while the Dublin native is comfortable talking about almost anything, Eoghan admitted there are some questions he is sick and tired of answering.
He added: “How long did it take you to do your hair? Or, anything to do with Niall Horan pees me off.”

The Voice star also divulged that his most embarrassing moment was accidentally exposing himself while dancing in a fashion show.
“I was a dancer at the UCD fashion show, in the Point theatre, and it was a big show. And my willy fell out half way through the performance – I still didn’t know if anyone saw it,” he told TV Now.
“It was a really boisterous routine and we were going for gold. So I’d say I danced for about two minutes with my willy flying everywhere.”
