Ed Sheeran writes song for Louis Walsh's new boyband Hometown

Ed Sheeran has wrote a song for Louis Walsh’s new boyband Hometown, it has been revealed.

The British singer-songwriter got in touch with the X Factor judge after hearing how perfect their voices work together.

Speaking backstage at the ITV show, Louis said that the “word is getting around about Hometown now”.

He added: “I got a new song the other day for Hometown, it was written by Ed Sheeran. Word is getting around.”

He told 2FM that Ed said “this song would work just perfectly with their voices.”

It comes as Hometown release their first single, Where I Belong, this week while they work on their new album.

Hometown told Goss.ie that it was written for them by Kodaline, who have also got involved in Louis’ new project.
