Sony are making an emoji movie to be released next year.
Emoji Movie: Express Yourself introduces a secret world that follows the lives of emojis in our smart phones who eagerly wait for the user to pick them.
James Corden and Broad City’s Ilana Glazer are set to star in the animated movie alongside T.J. Miller.

T.J. is set to star as an emoji named Gene who has a wide variety of facial expressions and James plays Hi-5, a high five emoji, with Ilana playing code breaker Jailbreak.
“Hi-5 is a high-five emoji who is a highly motivated, and highly dramatic, hand on a mission (sorry), and the brilliantly versatile, ebullient, and always lovable James Corden fits this part like a glove (sorry again),” director Anthony Leondis said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly.
“For the rebel ‘break all the codes’ computer programmer emoji Jailbreak, Ilana Glazer is the kind of singularly free-spirited, fearless, and funny actress to make girls really feel the empowered ‘nobody’s gonna keep me in a cage’ attitude this character exudes.”
