Kristen Bell and James Corden were hoping to wow audiences with a duet on The Late Late Show.
But things went horribly wrong during the pair’s rendition of Up Where We Belong.
They were supposed to be performing on aerial wires, but Kristen’s quickly transported her to the top of the studio and left her hanging as James got stuck a little way below.

Throughout the song, the stars were moved up and down on their wires, but couldn’t get to the same level, and James grew increasingly annoyed.
Eventually Kristen and James managed a few moments of singing together in the same spot midair and holding hands, but it wasn’t long before they were separated again.
“That was an absolute disaster! Who is responsible for this?” James said afterwards, red-faced. “We rehearsed it and rehearsed it and rehearsed it! We’ll fix it in post!”
