Usher ‘trying to convince major superstar’ to join him for the Super Bowl halftime show

Usher is reportedly trying to convince Justin Bieber to join him for the Super Bowl halftime show next year.

The 45-year-old has collaborated with the hearthrob before, with Usher and Scooter Braun signing the then 15-year-old to the Raymond Braun Media Group, a joint venture between the pair.

Usher is set to headline the NFL halftime show in Las Vegas in February next year – succeeding Rihanna who performed this year.

According to the MailOnline, the singer wants Justin to join him on stage, but he’s struggling to convince him.

“Usher has been doing his residency in Vegas and has most of his ideas ready for his big halftime show performance,” a source told the publication.

“He really wants to prove himself worthy of such an honor because he definitely sees that the excitement level for him doing it is not at an all-time high.”

“He has asked some of his friends who are artists to help him out and join him on stage, and he has thrown a few ideas towards Justin.”

The inside source explained: “Justin is flattered that one of his mentors, Usher wants him to be a part of the Super Bowl, but he is leaning towards letting Usher do his thing and Justin would rather have the opportunity to do the Super Bowl on his own in the future if he were to be asked.”

“That is the more sought-after option for Justin when it has anything to do with performing at the event.”

Justin is reportedly taking the time to focus on his health after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

The 29-year-old was forced to cancel his Justice World Tour after receiving the diagnosis, which left him with facial paralysis.

In 2022, Justin shocked fans by sharing a video of his facial paralysis as a result of the virus.

He explained: “I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome, and it is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear, my facial nerves, and has caused my face to have paralysis.”

“As you can see this eye is not blinking, I can’t smile on this side of my face, this nostril will not move so there’s full paralysis on this side of my face.”
