Pete Davidson checks into rehab amid struggles with PTSD and borderline personality disorder

Pete Davidson has checked into rehab, according to multiple outlets.

The news was first reported by Page Six, who claim the comedian is struggling with his PTSD and borderline personality disorder.

A source told the publication: “Pete regularly goes to rehab for ‘tune ups’ and to take a mental break, so that’s what’s happening.”

“Anyone who knows Pete knows that he will always step up and get help when he knows he needs it. He has a lot of people in his corner who love him and support him, and are proud of him.”

A friend of Pete added that he is “taking a well deserved break so he can focus on himself and learn to better deal with his PTSD issues”.

In an interview with Variety in 2018, Pete revealed he’d “been in and out of mental health facilities” since he was nine-years-old.

The SNL star was just seven when his father, who was a firefighter, was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Speaking on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast back in 2017 about his borderline personality diagnosis, the 29-year-old said: “This whole year has been a f**king nightmare.”

“This has been the worst year of my life, getting diagnosed with this and trying to figure out how to learn with this and live with this.”

More recently, Pete underwent trauma therapy in April 2022 due to online harassment from Kanye West while he was dating the rapper’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Earlier this month, Pete was charged with one misdemeanor count of reckless driving, after he and his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders were involved in a crash.
