Migos rapper Takeoff’s official cause of death revealed in coroner’s report

Takeoff’s official cause of death has been revealed.

According to the medical examiner’s office in Houston, the Migos rapper died of “penetrating gunshot wounds of head and torso into the arm”.

Page Six has also reported that his manner of death was ruled a homicide.

The musician, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was with his uncle Quavo when a shooter opened fire at 810 Billiards & Bowling in Heuston at 2.30am on Tuesday morning.

The 28-year-old was fatally shot and pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Houston Police Department, 40 to 50 people were at the bowling alley when the shooting took place, and two other victims were taken in private vehicles to nearby hospitals.

Takeoff formed the popular rap group Migos with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset in 2008.

Offset, who was not present during the shooting, paid a subtle tribute to his cousin on Instagram on Wednesday.

While the rapper is yet to address the shooting, he has changed his Instagram profile picture to one of Takeoff.

On Tuesday night, Migos’ record label also released a statement saying: “It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we mourn the loss of our beloved brother.”

“Senseless violence and a stray bullet has taken another life from this world and we are devastated.”
