Michelle Williams issues statement after Mark Wahlberg donates $1.5 MILLION in her name

Michelle Williams has said the day Mark Wahlberg donated $1.5 million in her name was the most “indelible days” of her life.

The A-lister gave his full salary for re-shooting the movie All The Money In The World, as it was revealed Michelle only got $1,000 to shoot the whole movie again.

The movie was forced to re-shoot, after director Ridley Scott replaced shamed actor Kevin Spacey, with Christopher Plummer less than two months before the film’s world premiere.

“Today isn’t about me,” Michelle wrote in a statement.

“My fellow actresses stood by me and stood up for me, my activist friends taught me to use my voice and the most powerful men in charge, they listened and they acted.

“If we truly envision an equal world, it takes equal effort and sacrifice. Today is one of the most indelible days of my life because of Mark Wahlberg, WME and a community of women and men who share in this accomplishment.”

Michelle also thanked Anthony Rapp, who told media about his encounter with Kevin Spacey when he was underage.

“Anthony Rapp, for all the shoulders you stood on, now we stand on yours,” she added.
