Lady Gaga says she’s “devastated” as she cancels her European tour.
The star took to social media to share the news that she had cancelled the six-week European leg of her tour after “suffering from severe physical pain that affected her ability to perform”.
“I have always been honest about my physical and mental health struggles. It is complicated and difficult to explain but we are trying to figure it out.
“I am looking forward to touring again soon, but I need to be with my doctors right now so I can be strong and perform for you all for the next 60 years or more. I love you so much.”
The European leg of the Joanne World Tour was scheduled to last six weeks and included five dates across the UK.
Live Nation has since released its own statement, promising the tour dates will be rescheduled and that “fans should hold onto their existing tickets pending the announcement of additional information once it is available”.
“Lady Gaga is suffering from severe physical pain that has impacted her ability to perform.
“She remains under the care of expert medical professionals who recommended the postponement earlier today. The second North American leg of the tour is scheduled to continue as planned.”
