Kim Kardashian is getting slated for cultural appropriation again.
The KKW owner posted a photo on Instagram of herself at the MTV Awards to showcase her look, but her braided hair caused controversy.
She captioned the post, “✨ MTV Awards Glam ✨,” before an influx of comments were left under the photo slating her for wearing African style braids.
“Culture appropriation much lol,” was one comment left under the post, a sentiment which many Instagram users echoed.
Another one of her followers commented, “I HATE THIS LOOK! Everyone hates it. You’ve been called on it so many times & yet here you are still posting this!!!”
They went on to say sporting the look was “unacceptable” and that she was being “willingly arrogant.”
Other fans defended her hairstyle saying, “OMG her daughter is literally black and so is her husband and braids are fun let ppl live damn.”
While one user told people to focus on bigger issues affecting people of colour.
They said, “A hairstyle doesn’t mean anything. You should spend your time on larger issues affecting people of colour because this isn’t helping anyone.”
