Kanye West’s signature was reportedly forged in a $1 million scam for a New York Fashion Week performance.
The rapper was linked to various performances during the iconic fashion week but his wife, Kim Kardashian slammed the claims earlier this week.
According to TMZ, one of Kanye’s former friends pretended to be his rep and negotiated a deal for him to perform at Philipp Plein’s show.
The imposter scammed the fashion designer out of $1 million.
The brand reportedly fell for the misrepresentation and signed a contract with the scammer.
The contract included a forged copy of Kanye’s signature and $900,000 was promptly sent to the account given as an advance.
