Gilmore Girl star Lauren Graham admits Matthew Perry’s death is still ‘really hard to believe’

Gilmore Girl Lauren Graham has admitted Matthew Perry’s death is still “really hard to believe.”

The actor, best known for playing Chandler Bing in the iconic US sitcom Friends, was found dead at his home in LA in an apparent drowning, on October 28.

The actress also confessed that she was still “in shock” over the death of her late friend when she appeared on a CBS Mornings segment in November.

The pair first worked alongside each other in Aaron Sorkin’s series, Studio 60, back in 2006.

They then went on to co-star in the 2008 film Birds of America, and later reunited for an episode of Matthew’s show, The Odd Couple, which ran from 2015 to 2017.

They maintained a close friendship in the following years.

The Friends actor even included photo of them together in his memoir, captioned “Me and the beautiful Lauren Graham.”

While playing host to a Q&A with fans on her book tour for Have I Told You This Already? Stories I Don’t Want to Forget To Remember, the actress confessed that the actor’s death is “still really hard to believe.”

She then told the crowd that Matthew was a “constant” in her life and even spoke about the extent of the pair’s romantic connection.

“While he was not technically ever a boyfriend, he was an almost in my life,” and added he was “a friend.”

“We would stretch for a year, then he would come back in my life, and he had just come back in my life last year,” the actress admitted.

Lauren also revealed that the Friends star sent her “a pickleball set” for her 56th birthday in March 2023.

“He’s like really into tennis and pickleball, with a card that said, ‘Be older,’ and called his death “a terrible loss.”
