Emma Stone reveals which role she was ‘devastated’ to miss out on

Emma Stone has revealed which role she was “devastated” to miss out on.

The American actress has landed many roles in hit films, gaining praise for many of her performances.

However, the two-time Oscar winner has confessed there was one part at the start of her career she was devastated not to get.

Speaking on The Tonight Show, she said: “When I was auditioning in L.A. when I was… I think I was 15 at this time … I got a couple callbacks for Friday Night Lights for Coach Taylor’s daughter.”

“I was totally devastated that it didn’t work out.”

However, Emma’s Kinds of Kindness costar, Jesse Plemons, had a role on the hit show – although the pair didn’t meet until years later.

The 35-year-old continued to say “it would have been so crazy” if she had worked with Jesse back then.

She added: “But then we met 20 years later on this and he’s going to be in the next movie, too – spoiler alert.”

Last month, Emma went viral for her adorable dance moves at the Cannes Film Festival.

The actress was on the red carpet ahead of the premiere of her film, Kinds of Kindness.

The stunning redhead wowed in a sequin, maroon gown as she took to the carpet alongside her co-stars.

Emma danced on the red carpet as she grooved to the music and made funny faces.

She sang along to Brand New Bi**h by Cobrah as the cast came together to pose for a picture on the famous steps.

At the end of the premiere, Emma and her fellow cast and crew received a standing ovation after the screening.
