Dalton Gomez is reportedly having a hard time, following his rumoured split from Ariana Grande.
The singer’s split from the realtor hit headlines earlier this week, after TMZ reported that they had secretly called it in January.
The outlet later reported that Ariana has since moved on with her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater.
A source has since told Entertainment Tonight: “Dalton is having a hard time after his breakup with Ariana. It has been a difficult time for him because he wanted to make things work.”
“He still has a lot of love for her and still considers her his partner, but she has moved on. Dalton’s friends are encouraging him to do the same.”
“Ariana and Ethan recently started dating. They have a lot in common and have a lot of fun. They didn’t start dating until both were broken up with their significant others. Ariana and Dalton remain friends,” the insider added.
Ethan’s estranged wife Lilly Jay, who he shares a son with, is also reportedly “devastated” by their break-up.
The source added: “This is not the future she had in mind. She’s doing her best to get back on her feet. She’s incredibly smart and driven and she is truly the best mother.”
Lilly Jay and Ethan, who were classmates, tied the knot in 2018.

Ariana is set to play Glinda in the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked, while Ethan will star as Bog.
The actor is well-known in the Broadway scene, and landed a Tony Award nomination for his role in the stage production of SpongeBob Squarepants.
Ariana and Dalton tied the knot in a “tiny and intimate” ceremony at their home in Montecito on May 15, 2021.
Ariana confirmed her romance with Dalton in May 2020 – and he popped the question in December that same year.
The couple tied the knot on May 15, 2021 and the stunning bride wore a silk white, backless dress designed by Vera Wang for the occasion.
Prior to her relationship with Dalton, Ariana was engaged to Pete Davidson, and dated Big Sean and the late Mac Miller.
