Anya Taylor-Joy has confirmed she “secretly married” her best friend two years ago.
The actress quietly married musician Malcolm McRae in an intimate ceremony in New Orleans on April 1st, 2022 – with guests including Cara Delevingne.
Taking to Instagram to mark their second anniversary, the Queen’s Gambit star shared previously unseen photos from their big day.
The 27-year-old showed off her stunning dress, which was custom made by Dior, as well as their “anatomically correct” cakes shaped like human hearts.
She captioned the post: “Two years ago, on April Fools, I secretly married my best friend in New Orleans.
“The magic of that day is ingrained in every cell of my being, forever.
“Happy second ( first ) anniversary my love… you’re the coolest. N.B yes, those are anatomically correct heart cakes. Yes, I am the vampire Lestat.”
Anya added that her wedding dress was “beautifully embroidered with our love story.”
Back in October, it was reported that the actress had married her musician beau, after photos emerged of what appeared to be a wedding celebration in Italy.
Photos from the bash showed the actress wearing the same dress she wore during their New Orleans ceremony.
