Alex Rodriguez has broken his silence on Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s reunion.
A-Rod and J-Lo started dating in 2017, and the former couple got engaged two years later.
The pair announced their split last month, telling Today at the time: “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so.”
Jennifer has since sparked rumours she’s rekindled her romance with her ex-beau Ben, who she was engaged to from 2002 until 2004 – when they called it quits.
The Hollywood couple, who were famously dubbed ‘Bennifer’, jetted off to Montana for a week – and their reunion has sent fans into a frenzy.
In a video obtained by Page Six, a reporter asked Alex: “What do you think about the news about Jennifer and Ben?”
The former baseball star responded: “Go Yankees.”
Alex previously played for the New York Yankees, who are a major rival to Ben’s favourite team the Boston Red Sox.
The news comes amid reports Alex is “shocked” and “upset” by Ben and Jennifer’s reunion.
A source told E! News: “A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on.”
“He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him.”
According to the insider, Alex is “saddened” by Jennifer and Ben’s reunion, and he has reportedly reached out to Jennifer to let her know “he’s upset”.
“She’s not interested in rekindling anything with A-Rod and is done,” the source added.
