Vogue Williams defends Brian McFadden in row with Kian Egan

Vogue Williams has defended Ex, Brian McFadden, after former band member Kian Egan hit out at the singer.

The pair got involved in a row when Kian sounded off about Brian’s new music act with Keith Duffy, Boyzlife – combing the best hits from Westlife and Boyzone together for a tour.

Kian had said the idea was “aggravating and really unfair on the fans” and now Vogue is having her say, explaining that Brian’s time with the band was vital.

Not happy: Vogue says Kian is jealous

“It was actually six years and, without doubt, the most successful period for the band, including 12 number one singles,”  she wrote in the Sunday World.

“Westlife only enjoyed a further two number one singles after Brian left. Kian was pretty vocal in his attack. Thinking Brian doesn’t have the right to use the Westlife name is, frankly, just plain stupid.”

The SPIN 1038 DJ went on to suggest that maybe Kian is just jealous.

Boyzlife: Brian and Keith are going on tour

“I suspect that Kian may have a case of the green-eyed monster. In fairness to Kian, I’d be raging too if I hadn’t thought of the idea myself, seeing how successful it’s been.”

“I’ve met Kian and I do like him. I’d say the exact same thing to his face,” she said. “This isn’t an attack, but I think Kian needs to get a grip and wish Brian and Keith all the best for the tour,” she added.
