Tracy Clifford has revealed that she thought she was mates with Jennifer Maguire, just from watching her on the telly.
The ex Spin 1038 presenter made her move over to RTÉ’s 2FM eight weeks ago with her own show, The Tracy Clifford Show, and she admits she thought she was mates with Jen before they properly knew each other.
“I think I know Jen Maguire just from watching her on the telly and she’s amazing,” she said.

“So I was being matey with her when she didn’t know me at all but she was really nice.”
Tracy has finally found her home in 2FM, but reveals that the move to the station was extremely nerve-wracking.
“To go from Spin 1038 to a national station was huge and I’ve never been so nervous as I was on my first week.
“It was like Leaving Cert nerves, I was having horrible dreams where the mic wasn’t working or I totally froze, but I’m becoming part of the family now,” she stressed.

Although nerve-wracking at first, Tracy is now loving the transition from breakfast radio to the afternoon as she can finally get a “full night’s sleep” and look “fairly decent” going into work.
“I used to get out of bed, have a shower and throw my hair in a bun whereas now I’m wearing make-up and my hair is blow dried.
“I’m not all dolled up but my foundation is now actually blended into my neck properly and I don’t feel like a wreck compared to everyone else,” she told The Herald.
