Here at Goss HQ, we’re all about supporting girl power and in particular Girl Bosses, so we’ve put together a list of the Top Girl Bosses in the country.
As a Girl Boss myself I know how hard it can be first-hand to run a company, manage staff and make sure all the bills are paid – entrepreneurship ain’t easy.
Here are some of my favourite female entrepreneurs.
Marissa Carter
CEO of Cocoa Brown Tan
One of the leaders in female entrepreneurship in this country, Marissa Carter the CEO of Cocoa Brown tan has achieved so much.
First the owner of Carter Beauty out in Blackrock, Co Dublin, Marissa packed it all in to develop her own tanning products which now has a massive global audience.
With Kylie Jenner sharing the tan online and a new product just out now – the sky is the limit for this woman (oh and she just had a baby too).

Katie-Jane Goldin
CEO of Gold Fever Hair Extensions
Sticking to the world of beauty, Katie-Jane Goldin has been killing it in the hair industry.
Her new hair brand Gold Fever Hair Extensions has already donned the heads of some of Ireland’s most famous ladies – including Rosanna Davison, Georgia Salpa as well as international stars.
She’s also the woman behind the incredible Instyler, which is becoming a must-have hair product.

Elva Carri
CEO of Girl Crew
Girl Crew is possibly the coolest networking site in the country.
Elva is the CEO of the company, which focuses on bringing like-minded women together from all over the country.
It started off as a version of Tinder to find mates and has now grown into a string of events, meet ups and all around ultimate girl power.

Jennie McGinn
CEO of OPSH
You can’t have a Girl Boss list without mentioning Jennie McGinn.
The co-founder of the shopping website even hosted a Girl Boss event herself, and has become well known for her amazing pitches.
We have serious office envy with the OPSH girls (since they are only around the corner) and just recently they launched in the UK, Jennie is seriously a force to be reckoned with.

Nicki Hoyne
Owner of My Shining Armour
We are absolutely obsessed with all of the seriously cool products you can buy on My Shining Armour.
Owned by Killkenny Girl Boss Nicki Hoyne, she started her career out in events and sales management working with brands like Nintendo and Diageo.
She’s managed fragrance brands Marc Jacobs, Chloé, Calvin Klein, Balenciaga, Vera Wang and Juicy Couture but it’s her new stylish venture that we love.

Norah Casey
Chairwoman of Harmonia
Norah Casey is definitely one of the original Girl Bosses in this country.
For years she has been the CEO of Harmonia – the publishing company behind Tatler and Woman’s Way, U Magazine and Food & Wine magazine.
Not only that but Norah was one of the Dragon’s on RTE’s Dragon’s Den, as well as starring in two separate RTE shows in the last two years.

Lisa Fitzpatrick
Leading Stylist
Ireland’s leading fashion stylist, Lisa is also a successful author and runs her own workshop Fashion Fix, all around the country.
Not only does she hold those roles, Lisa helps with her husband’s hotel chains – including The Spencer Hotel, The Morgan Hotel and The Fitzpatrick Hotel in New York.
She’s constantly working and knows this business like the back of her hand.

Marion Murphy Cooney
Fashion Designer
Based in Tipperary, Marion Murphy Cooney has grown from a small designer to a go-to celebrity fashion boss in just a few years.
Marion has dressed stars such as Jennifer Maguire, Lorraine Keane and Love/Hate’s Aoibhinn McGinnity.
Her designs are unique and flattering, and her business is just getting bigger and bigger.

Sallyanne Clarke
Co-Owner at L’Ecrivain
Sallyanne Clarke is a serious force in the restaurant business – as the co-owner of popular Dublin eatery L’Ecrivain.
She’s beside her husband Derry Clarke’s side in the restaurant but outside of that she’s an amazing fund raiser and organiser.
Sallyanne just recently became the President of Ireland’s Blue Book, and we think there’s a lot more to come from this lady.

Sonya Lennon
Co-Founder of Frock Advisor and Lennon Courtney
She’s mainly pictured beside her business partner and bestie Brendan Courtney, but Sonya Lennon is a boss in her own right.
One of Ireland’s leading stylists, TV presenter and an amazing Girl Boss, Sonya is also a successful author and also ran Dress For Success – an initiative to help women get back to work.

Creative Director of Chupi Jewellery
A seriously up and coming Girl Boss is Chupi Sweetman-Durney, who’s jewellery brand Chupi is already a must-have.

She’s also the Editor of Confetti magazine too – she’s doing it all!
