'The BBC have lost their minds!' Brendan O'Carroll admits ahead of Mrs. Brown's Boys live episode

The stars of  Mrs. Brown’s Boys are gearing up for their first ever live episode with Brendan O’Carroll warning viewers to “put the kids to bed early”.

The show will kick of sitcom season on BBC1 to mark 60 years since Hancock’s Half Hour first launched the genre.

The live episode will be shot in just one take with Brendan admitting he reckons the BBC have “lost their minds” for letting it happen.

“This is very exciting. When I heard the BBC were letting us go fully live I thought: ‘They’ve lost their minds!’ I’m seriously delighted about this,” he told the Irish Mirror.

“As Mrs Brown’s Boys started in the theatre it gives us a chance to show the TV audience what we really do. Put the kids to bed early.”

“The experience of going to a live record of Mrs Brown’s Boys is extraordinary. Brendan O’Carroll is probably one of the only comedy talents who could pull this off,” BBC1 boss  Charlotte Moore said.
