Pierce Brosnan has been stopped by airport security after trying to board a US flight carrying a knife.
The Irish actor was stopped by Transportation Security Admission agents at Burlington International Airport in Vermont with a ten inch hunting knife in his hand luggage.
The local police department said the 007 star was allowed to board the plane and continue his journey once the issue had been resolved.

Pierce was reportedly left embarrassed and angry when his knife was taken away by security officials.
TSA rules state that sharp objects such as knives and scissors longer than four inches must be stored in checked luggage.
Pierce has yet to comment on the incident.

The Co. Meath native recently left Ireland after he wrapped filming on revenge thriller IT.
