Michael Fassbender has revealed he dreams of hanging up his acting boots and becoming a director.
The X Men star currently runs his own production company called DMC Film as a side project to his acting career but hopes to one day be sitting in the director’s chair.
“I’d like to direct at some point. Right now, I’m involved in acting,” he said.

“It’s been full-on. To direct, you need at least two years for a project. We’ve got a lot of projects that we’re looking at.”
The 12 Years A Slave actor admitted that while he has come across may projects he would love to direct, his main priority in DMC Film is to get them on screen.
“There are ones that I’d like to do, but I’d rather see them get into production,” he told Variety.

Meanwhile, the 38-year-old divulged that while he’s had major band from Hollywood bosses to move Stateside, he’s happiest being in London.
“I did think about moving to LA before, but not so much now. I think I’m European, I know I’m European. I’m happiest here,” he said.
Michael recently brushed off criticism from Hollywood writer Aaron Sorkin who believes the Irish actor isn’t cut out to play Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic.

In messages leaked in the Sony hacking scandal last year, Aaron said: I don’t know who Michael Fassbender is an the rest of th world isn’t going to care.”
However, the Kerry native doesn’t care about the slam and thinks everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
“It’s whatever. People have opinions. The internet is the internet. I have a job to do, so I just get on with that,” he said.
