Kodaline reveal: 'Courteney Cox will be directing our new music video'

Kodaline have revealed their pal Courteney Cox is set to direct their next music video.

The band met Courteney through her Snow Patrol fiance Johnny McDaid and clicked with the Friends star straight away.

The Hollywood actress will shoot the lads next single Love Will Set You Free at her glamorous Los Angeles pad next month.

While Courteney has directed several episodes of her TV series Cougar Town – this will be her first time taking the reigns on a music video.

“We met Courteney through Johnny when we recorded our album in LA and she is really lovely and down to earth,” bandmate Steve Garrigan said.

“Because Friends is so famous we struggled not to hum the theme tune around her or call her Monica by mistake.

“She suggested directing a video for us and filming it and we were like ‘yeah cool’. It’s pretty random but we’re excited about the shoot in a few weeks,” he told The Sun.

“We’re shooting it at her house which is a beautiful gaff with its own beach by the sea.”

Luckily for the Dublin rockers, there’s already talk of models being flown over to Courteney’s house to shoot the video with the guys.

“There’s talk of flying over girlfriends for the video too. But I’m sure our guitar player would be very happy if he had a model as his love interest,” he said.
