TV presenter Kathryn Thomas has admitted boyfriend Padraig McLoughlin has said she looks like a drag queen.
The Operation Transformation presenter is a fan of dark makeup, and admitted her beau isn’t too keen on her style.
“I come home from The Voice of Ireland or Operation Transformation and Padraig has a little stare and thinks I look a bit like a drag queen,” she admitted.
“It is in the flesh, it’s quite shocking, considering I’m someone who doesn’t wear a lot. When I wear very little, he says I look great,” she added.

Speaking on RTE’s The John Murray Show, Kathryn admitted she looks exhausted when she wears no makeup at all.
“Whenever I don’t wear makeup, the one thing someone says is, ‘you look very tired’. I wouldn’t go out to a restaurant or night out without make-up.
“I have no problem going shopping, the gym, but I feel more confident and sexier when I’m wearing make-up so I would imagine that would be the case for most women,” she explained.
“We always put pressure on ourselves and I don’t think just because you wear make-up, you’re insecure.”
