Jack Reynor and Cillian Murphy caught in bidding war

There has been a bidding war for Jack Reynor and Cillian Murphy’s new thriller Free Fire.

A deal has reportedly been made amongst distributors for the US rights to the upcoming flick.

Distribution company Alchemy bought the rights for the movie at the American Film Market where new productions are financed and sold.

According to Deadline.com, the demand for the Martin Scorsese executive produced film was “white hot” at event with the US rights bought for a reported $3 million.

Set in Boston in 1978, the crime thriller follows the story of a woman who brokers an ill-fated arms deal involving two Irishmen and two gang members in a warehouse.

Cillian is set to play one of the Irishmen caught in the deal gone wrong while Jack’s character has yet to be revealed.
