Is this the real reason Janet Jackson postponed her Dublin and European dates?

It’s being reported that Janet Jackson postponed her European tour dates because of poor ticket sales.

The music megastar announced this week that she would be postponing European dates, including her Dublin date on April 2, of her Unbreakable World Tour.

Although announcing that the gigs were postponed, ticket holders were offered refunds which many believe mean the shows have been cancelled rather than just rescheduled.

Following the announcement, many fans were left worrying about her health but new reports now claim that poor ticket sales were the real reason the concerts were cancelled – saying she was about to “flop, badly”.

No-go: Janet announced this week she was postponing her European tour

“She was about to flop, badly. When an artist cancels an entire leg or postpones pieces of the tour, the real reason is because they’re not selling,” a source told the New York Post’s Page Six gossip column.

“It’s better to cancel than play a room that’s half-filled, especially if you’re Janet Jackson.”

Despite the claims, an insider at Live Nation has allegedly denied ticket sales were to blame – insisting they had been “decent”.

“We were a month out and still very positive about the shows, but it didn’t make any sense to keep all the dates,” the source said.

“She’s very ambitious right now. And when you’re that ambitious, there becomes conflict.

“She has other businesses – some music, some brand-related. Janet has a complicated life. Her schedule was getting crazy, so we decided to pull this thing down… It may be moved to a later date,” the insider added.
