She was the winning mentor last season and now Voice of Ireland coach Una Foden has revealed she would love a girl to win the show next.

Confirming to Goss.ie she will return to the hit RTE show later this year, the flame-haired singer admitted she will be keeping her ears open for a female voice.

“The show is The Voice so I’m looking for an amazing voice obviously – something a little bit different,” she said.

Winner: Una admitted she would love to see a girl win The Voice of Ireland

“A girl hasn’t won the show so it would be good, it would be amazing if a girl could win this year.

“So I will be perking my ears up that little bit higher when I hear a girl that tickles my fancy,” she told Goss.ie.

“You never know it could be a guy again but once it’s a brilliant singer, that’s the most important thing.”

“You know, we spend a bit of time apart during filming of the live shows because I come over here and base myself for six weeks in Ireland,” she revealed to Goss.ie.

“He comes over a couple of times to visit so he’ll definitely be around again next time.”
