Dublin passers by were left a bit confused today, as fake snow and people in period costumes surrounded Iveagh Gardens.
But we haven’t gone back in time, it’s just another day on the set of Penny Dreadful.
The US series, which stars Josh Hartnett, Billie Piper and Eva Green has started filming season two.
The star-studded cast have already been spotted partying in Dublin celebrity hotspot Lillies Bordello, but today they were back to work.

Cast and crew were even seen building a snowman in the fake snow, as they filmed scenes for the new series.
“I really thought it was snowing, there was specs of snow floating in the air. But then I realised it was all fake,” an onlooker said.
In exclusive pics you can see a large blue screen in the background of the set, which will be used to add special effects and graphics for the new season.

Eva Green can be seen in the centre of the set, getting her hair and makeup done in between takes.
Penny Dreadful is produced by James Bond director Sam Mendes and has been described as a “psychological thriller series.”
Created by Showtime and Sky Atlantic, the tells the origin stories of literary characters such as Count Dracula and Dorian Gray.
