Brendan Courtney has revealed he is happy not to be hosting the VIP Style Awards next week.
The former Off The Rails presenter hosted the glitzy annual event for two years, but has now been replaced by Darren Kennedy.
Speaking exclusively to Goss.ie, Brendan said he’s too busy to host the show again, and admitted it’s a lot of work.
“It’s not very well paid but it’s really fun but I’m too busy now to do that,” he told Goss.ie.

” I just hope he will be aware – they don’t give you an autocue and you’re on stage for three hours, you have to know your stuff.”
Speaking at the Vodafone DIT Fashion Show, Brendan said he had a great time hosting the fashion awards before.
“It was never too harsh but it was always quite bitchy. I hosted it for two years and it’s a lot of work,” he revealed.
“I think Darren will be an amazing host for the VIP Style Awards. He’s a very funny guy,” he added.

Meanwhile Brendan revealed new host Darren used to look up to him as a fashion mentor.
“I think he did look up to me but I don’t think he does anymore. I think I was a part of his inspiration and he was very open about that,” he said.
“Darren asked for my advice and now it’s funny, I ring him looking for connections and advice, it’s the circle of life.”
