It’s been revealed Electric Picnic is set to sell out in record time.
Promoter Denis Desmond has prompted festival go-ers to buy tickets this weeks because “by next week Electric Picnic will be sold out”.
Big names taking to the Stradbally stage this year include Sam Smith, Grace Jones, Florence and The Machine and Manic Street Preachers.

Also headlining the renowned festival is Essex foursome Blur who are returning to the Emerald Isle after their smash gig in Kilmainham in 2013.
Speaking to The Sun, MCD’s Denis Desmond has admitted the demand for tickets ten weeks before the festival is a clear sign of the economy’s upturn.
A whopping 45,000 are expected to hit this year’s event which takes place this September 4 to 6.
