TV3 are said to be in talks with Daniel O’Donnell to front his own variet show.
The Irish crooner was recently booted off Strictly Come Dancing, however that hasn’t stopped TV bosses from seeing something special in the star.
“We are in discussions with Big Mountain Productions to have Daniel O’Donnell be the star of a new variety show on TV3,” Director of Content Lynda McQuaid said.

“We are keen to tap into Daniel’s popularity with his fans and the thousands who tuned in to watch him on Strictly,” she told The Irish Sun.
The programme would be broadcast live and would be the station’s most ambitious series since Eamon Dunphy’s chat show.
“We want it to be much bigger than anything TV3 have done before. Daniel connects with so many people and that’s why we want him at the centre of this show,” Lynda said.
It comes after Daniel’s wife Majella admitted she was thrilled when her husband was given the boot from the BBC show.
