Rory Cowan reveals Mrs. Brown's Boy's sequel could hit screens next year

Good news for TV fans as it looks like the sequel to Mrs. Brown’s Boys D’Movie could be hitting screens next year.

Star of the series Rory Cowan has revealed the entire cast will return for a second film although creator Brendan O’Carroll has yet to begin writing the script.

“I know it hasn’t been finalised yet but there is talk about doing another movie in September or October time,” he said.

“It’ll hopefully come out next year.  Brendan hasn’t written it yet so I don’t know.”

Although many movies based on TV shows feature the cast taking a trip abroad, Rory has insisted the upcoming flick will still be set ijn Dublin.

“Going on what [Brendan] has said before, he never wanted to do a movie like Mrs Brown going on holidays and things going wrong.  Mrs Brown is all about her family, her home and her stall in Moore Street.

“Mrs Brown wouldn’t do anything in Australia. We’re here doing a tour but the whole play is set in Dublin,” he told the Irish Daily Star.

Rory is part of the cast of the new series of The Restaurant alongside stars like Pippa O’Connor and Nathan Carter.

The first episode is set to air Wednesday at 9pm on TV3.
