Gay Byrne has revealed he is due to go back to hospital following his unexpected heart attack last week.
The radio host was only discharged from St Vincent’s hospital last week on the condition he would come back for further tests.
“I will going back into hospital later this week. That was the condition of me getting out,” he said.

Speaking to the Herald, the 81-year-old didn’t comment if he had to undergo any hospital procedures or how long he will be re-admitted into their care.
However, the veteran broadcaster revealed he is focusing on his recovery – insisting he’s been “well looked after”.
“I am busy recuperating and am being well looked after,” he insisted.
