That’s right: Another daughter of a famous celebrity is set to appear on Love Island this summer.
According to The Sun, Lauren Simon’s 19-year-old daughter Gigi is currently in talks with producers.
Lauren, 52, is best known as a cast member of the ITVBe series The Real Housewives of Cheshire, and also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.
A source said: “It’s early stages and she’s just in talks but Gigi is really keen to sign up.
“She’s obviously got ITV connections through her mum but if she does get on the show, it won’t be because of that.”
This wouldn’t be the first time producers have cast an Islander with celebrity connections.
Dani Dyer, the daughter of EastEnders legend Danny Dyer, famously won the show back in 2018 with her then-boyfriend Jack Fincham.
The daughter of footballer Michael Owen, Gemma Owen, also appeared on the dating show in 2022.
That same year, Irish singer Ronan Keating’s son joined the summer series as a Casa Amor bombshell.
Other former Islanders with celebrity connections include Tommy Fury, the younger brother of champion boxer Tyson Fury, and Belle Hassan, the daughter of actor Tamer Hassan.
Love Island is expected to return for its 11th season on Monday, June 3rd.
Maya Jama will return as host for the new series, which will be filmed in Mallorca once again.
