Hundred flocked to the internet today to watch the John Lewis Christmas ad for 2016 – but many are not happy with it.
The heartwarming advert introduces us to Buster, a boxer dog who just wants to bounce, and Bridget, a young girl eagerly awaiting Christmas.
In the ad, Bridget’s father is seen building her present, a large trampoline, and the following morning she rushes out to jump on it.
However, Twitter users are now giving out about the ad – saying that it will ruin the magic of Christmas for children.
Do #JohnLewis realise they just dispelled the idea that Santa is real?! #bustertheboxer Poor offering this yr; wonder what @johnlewis thinks

Now my 7 year old daughter has questioned me why Santa isn’t dropping off the trampoline, thank you #JohnLewis #JohnLewisAdvert ?

Shouldn’t it be Santa building the trampoline ready for Christmas morning? Change it…Change it! *covers little ones eyes* #johnlewis

John Lewis ad is great but will kids not be all asking why Dad is building a trampoline in the back and not Santa Claus? #bustertheboxer
