Adele has denied rumours that she’s set to perform at the next Super Bowl – and slammed rumours that she’s pregnant.
It was reported last week that NFL bosses were hoping to nab the singer for the 2017 half-time show, but Adele has since laughed off the speculation at her concert in Los Angeles.
“I got a text today from one of my friends in England, asking me if I’m pregnant,” she said while on stage at the Staples Center.
“And I was like, ‘I know I’m bloated; I’m struggling, I haven’t worked out for a couple of weeks’. I’m just feeling a bit lazy – the heat over here is knocking me out. I’m from London; we don’t have heat like this.”
No thanks: Adele has said no to the Super BowlÂ
“But anyway, I was like, ‘What do you mean am I pregnant?! Of course I’m not pregnant! I’d tell you if I was pregnant’. They think I was going to announce it at the Super Bowl!”
“First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl,” she explained.
The 28-year-old finally added that Super Bowl bosses did, in fact, ask her to perform – but she kindly declined.
“I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really – I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no,” she added.
