Louise O’Neill’s Asking For It?: Reality Bites documentary aired on RTE2 last night, and everyone LOVED it.
The documentary, which came after Louise’s bestselling novel of the same title, examines rape culture in Ireland and the issue of consent.
As Louise spoke to legal experts, students and victim support groups, the show quickly started trending on Twitter as people showed their support online.
Ireland. The things that are truly most important are things we tend to largely ignore in social rhetoric. Brilliant @oneilllo #AskingForIt

#AskingForIt is such essential viewing. That conversation alone between @oneilllo & Niamh Ni Dhomhnail taught me so much.
