The Coronas singer Danny O'Reilly: 'I won't go solo yet, but I'm open to offers'

The Coronas frontman Danny O’Reilly has revealed he is open to a solo career.

The Dublin singer comes from a family of famous solo stars with mum Mary Black and sister Roisin O.

But speaking to Goss.ie Danny said he wasn’t in a rush to leave The Coronas just yet. When asked if he’d do a track without his bandmates he said:

“Yeah I’d do more, it just depends what’s on offer.”

“I’ve no interest in doing solo stuff now to be honest,” he explained.

Danny released his first solo track this year featuring Irish singer Daithi.

“Daithi asked me to do it and I thought it was a cool project, something different. Just if it comes around, the boys are very supportive as well and they liked it.

“Daithi was great and I’m always open to trying new things so we’ll see what happens,” Danny told Goss.ie.

Right now The Coronas are busy with their new tour, and new album The Long Way. The band are set to release the new record in the UK as well as perform over there.

“I can’t wait. We’re doing a big tour in March, that’ll be the next thing,” Danny said.

“We’re really excited about it. We’re releasing the album properly and stuff over there so fingers crossed it’ll go well.”

The Coronas will also play the 3 Arena, Dublin next February, and Danny said that’s the gig the band are most nervous about.

“Apparently tickets are flying as well so we’re really looking forward to that. Our hometown gig, all our family will be there as well.
